Day 1: Your arrival in Saigon (Now Ho-Chin-Minh)

Upon your arrival, you will be greeted at the airport by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel.


In the evening, we would like to invite you to join your guide and tantalize your taste buds with the traditional flavors of Vietnamese food and enjoy a welcome dinner.

Day 2: Saigon City Tour – Cu Chi Tunnel

This morning, we drive 70km scenic drive to Cu Chi Tunnels, a system created to assist the Vietnamese Revolutionists against the French in 1948. It was an underground city with living areas, kitchens, storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers etc and in certain areas, housed up to 10,000 people, who virtually lived underground for years.

You will have the opportunity to take part in the unique experience of guerillas living underground during the war, with a crawl through 20/30/50 meters of the tunnel system


In the afternoon, we visit Chinatown, or more commonly known as Cho Lon, to the bustling Binh Tay Wholesale Market. Here we witness the local people rushing about selling an array of fresh and dried produce, clothing, shoes, home wares and fabrics, just to name a few.


Close by, we make a stop to one of the most active temples in Chinatown, Thien Hau Temple, built by the Cantonese Congregation in 1760 in order to express their gratitude to this Goddess for her protection during their immigration trip to Vietnam by sea.


We drive back to the centre of town to visit the magnificent Notre Dame Cathedral, built in 1877 and the City Post Office, often mistaken for a railway station by foreign visitors and City Hall.

Day 3: Full day Mekong Delta :

Today we head to My Tho, to explore part of the Mekong River.


Upon arrival we board a local boat and cruise along the Mekong River to observe the local fishing port, where hundreds of fishing boats anchor to unload fresh fish.


We disembark on a small island, where we experience how the local people make their living from fruit trees. We continue our exploration with a pleasant rowing trip down small canals and dense palm trees, experiencing the local villages between the islands to a small islet.


We then take a short walk through a local village set amongst a peaceful atmosphere and fruit trees and witness the unusual yet fascinating process of coconut candy in the making.


After filling up on Coconut candy, we stroll through a local village to a bee farm and try some honey with rice wine or tea.


We return to Saigon by afternoon.

Day 4: Saigon – Danang – Hoi An :

This morning we take a flight to Danang.


On our drive to Hoi An, we make a stop in Danang to visit Cham Museum, built in 1915, which contains intricate ancient Champa sculptures.


We then take a short drive to the stunning Marble Mountains, where we climb the marble stairs to reach the peak of the largest mountains of the 5 elements, Thuy Son or more commonly known as ‘Water Mountain’.


After our scenic climb we continue on a further 20minutes, reaching Hoi An. The rest of the late afternoon is free at leisure.

Day 5: Hoi An walking tour :

This morning we stroll through the quaint streets of Hoi An, visiting the local market, an Ancient Chinese Temple, The Chinese Assembly Hall and the Japanese covered bridge.


After our leisurely walk, we board for a magical cruise down the Cua Dai estuary and enjoy the scenic view of life along the river.


We return by midday for you to enjoy the peaceful ambience of this quaint ancient town at leisure or spend some time with the skillful tailors, treating yourself to tailor made clothes, which Hoi An is renowned for.

Day 6: Hoi An vegetable village – Hanoi

Today, we have great privilege of being able to spend today at a local family home within a small farming village, just outside of Hoi An town.


Upon arrival, we are welcomed by the family and enjoy a traditional herbal drink, before setting out on our guided walk through the local farmland. We learn about the history of the village, observe the processes of harvesting, and discover the many traditional uses, in both cooking and Vietnamese medicines, with the herbs and vegetables grown.


For those who have a ‘green finger’, you have the opportunity to join the farmers in preparing the land, seeding, watering, and picking the crops.


After trying your hand in harvesting a crop, what better way than to take a rest, freshen up and soak your feet in a traditional herbal foot bath, before sitting down for a delicious lunch of local delicacies, using the fresh herbs and vegetables from the garden.


The family also love showing off their skills in whipping up your lunch, giving you a very creative cooking demonstration.


After lunch, we bid farewell to the family and Hoi An and head to Danang for our flight to Hanoi.

Day 7: Hanoi City Tour :

Our first visit is to the most well respected site of Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, which includes the Presidential Palace, One Pillar Pagoda and Ho Chi Minh Museum.


We continue on with a short drive to visit the 11th Century Temple of Literature, Hanoi’s first University.


After lunch we visit Hanoi Hilton Prison, continuing on with a 25minute drive to the very interesting Ethnology Museum.


Here you will learn of the traditional cultures of 54 different ethnic minority groups in Vietnam through articles, stories, displays of traditional houses, costumes, hunting equipment and much more wares used in day to day life.


Returning to the center of Hanoi, we finish our day with a ‘mind blowing’ and most unforgettable ‘Xich Lo’ ride through the charming 36 Street Old Quarter and introduce you to the hustle and bustle of the city streets, discovering the real Hanoi.


This evening we enjoy the spectacular and most colorful performance of traditional Water Puppetry. This amazing art form originated in North Vietnam and is still performed in its original form.

Day 8: Hanoi – Ha Long :

Ha Long Bay is one of the most enchanting and memorable experiences in Vietnam. The postcard pictures you so often see of Ha Long Bay, will become a memory to last a lifetime.


We leave the city behind and drive through the Red River Delta to Halong Bay, taking around 3.5 hours.


Arriving in Halong Bay, we board our boat and enjoy a spectacular seafood lunch as we sail off into Dragon Bay, gazing at the breathtaking karts formations within the bay.


hroughout our cruise today, you will have the opportunity to disembark the boat and explore Sung Sot cave, where you will learn how karsts were formed in this area millions of years ago.


We continue cruising the bay until the late afternoon, before setting anchor for the night. Once anchored, there’s plenty of time for swimming or just relaxing to admire the scenery, before sitting down to another scrumptious meal.

Day 9: Ha Long – Hanoi:

This morning we take a small bamboo boat to visit Luon, a beautiful tunnel cave set within a lagoon.


We re-board our boat and continue cruising the bay, through the old part of Ha Long City, known as the fishing town and the new built harbor bridge, whilst we enjoy our seafood brunch before heading back to the pier for our return to Hanoi.


This evening we say ‘Cam on, Tam biet!’ and would like to invite you to join your guide in a farewell celebration dinner.

Day 10: Departure

Free until transfer to the airport for your departure flight. Trip ends. - (Breakfast included)
