Day 1:
Arrival to Tashkent. Hotel.
Day 2:
Transfer Tashkent – Osh (420 km, 8 hrs).
Walking along 3000-year city, one of the oldest one in Central Asia.
Day 3:
Drive to Kapaly settlement (120 km, ~ 3 hrs), trekking beginning.
Crossing through Kosh-Moynok pass (3250 m). Panorama of Kichik-Alay range with 4 – 5
thousandth peaks is opened from the pass. Descend to the valley of Kosh-Moynok river
(10 km, 5 hrs, +850m, -450m). Camp on the glade near fairy archa forest (2800 m.a.s.l.).
Day 4:
Walking up-stream Kosh-Moynok river up to glacier.
Acquaintance with way of life of shepherds, pasturing their cattle on summer pastures.
Day 5:
The valley of Sary-Bel river – Kojo-Kelen settlement (12 km, 5 hrs, +400m, -970m).
Crossing through Sary-Bel pass (3200m.a.s.l.). Overnight stay on the glade near exotic red
rocks in the relic birch grove (really paradise place), 2230 m.a.s.l.
Day 6:
Walking on environing gorges ("Blue grotto", canyons, waterfalls, magnificent panoramas, red rocks, exotic settlement).
Day 7:
Kojo-Kelen – walking under Djiptyk pass (18 km, 8 hrs, + 1280 m).
Walking up on the valley of Ak-Bura river to Djiptyk pass, Alpine meadows, high-mountain pastures. Overnight stay on a small glade near brook (3510 m.a.s.l.).
Day 8:
Crossing through Djiptyk pass (4185 m) to Alay valley (18 km, 8 hrs, +675m,- 1015m).
In the morning you will be waked by "grunting" semi wild yaks. On absolutely wild places
you will go up on Djiptyk, where taking one’s breath away panorama of Alay range glittering
by snow-ice slopes with legendary Lenin Peak. In good weather you can see Pamirian giants –
Communism peak (7495 m) and Korjenevskaya Peak (7105 m). Overnight stay on a glade near
Sary-Mogol settlement (3000 m.a.s.l.).
Day 9:
Walking to international climber camp (40 km, 2 hrs).
Transfer by car to "Edelweiss Glade" - Base Camp of Lenin Peak. Walking in the camp environing (lakes, alpine meadows, shepherds’ yurts, memorial to lost climbers). Overnight stay in BC (3600 m.a.s.l.).
Day 10:
Walking on Puteshestvennikov pass, where the view on Lenin Peak and Lenin Glacier is opened.
It’s possible a walking in advanced base camp (ABC) on Lenin Glacier (4300 m.a.s.l.).
Day 11:
Transfer to Osh (250 km, 8 hrs). Hotel.
Day 12:
Visiting of famous Osh bazaar.
Transfer to Tashkent (420 km, 8 hrs).
Stops in Rishtan en route (ceramics of Fergana valley and Khudoyar-khan’s Palace in Kokand). Hotel.
Day 13:
Transfer to Samarkand (350 km, 5 hrs).
Excursion. Registan square - the "heart" of Samarkand - ensemble of 3 majestic madrassahs (XIV-XVI c.c.) –
Sherdor, Ulugbek and Tillya Qory, Bibi-Khanum the gigantic congregational mosque (XV c.), Gur-Emir mausoleum
of Timur, his sons and Ulugbek the grandson (XV c.). Hotel.
Day 14:
Continue of excursion. Tamerlan’s grandson Ulugbek’s the well-known ruler and astronomer
-scientist observatory (1420 y.) - the remains of an immense (30 m. tall) astrolabe for
observing stars position, Shakhi-Zinda – "The Living King" (XI-XVIII c.c.) necropolis of
Samarkand rulers and noblemen, consisting of set of superb decorated mausoleums, exotic
Siab bazaar. Transfer to Tashkent (350 km, 5 hrs). Hotel.
Day 15:
Departure from Tashkent.
