Day 1: Arrive at Mangalore
On Arrival at Mangalore domestic airport, you will proceed to Hotel in Coorg . After refreshment you will proceed to the local sight seeing. Overnight stray in hotel .
Day 2: Mangalore – Sultan Battery - Bekal (67 Km – 1.5Hrs)
Morning after having breakfast, you will proceed for sightseeing. Sultan Battery: 4 km from Mangalore, Sultan Battery of
Boloor is a watchtower built in black stones. Tipu Sultan made this mini-fortress type with arrangements for loading cannons,
splendidly beautiful, watchtower to prevent warships from entering River Gurupur. After lunch at Restaurant and then proceed
to Bekal - On Arrival Bekal Sightseeing Bekal Fort; This is the 300 years old fort & was occupied by Hyder Ali of Mysore in
1763 A.D and then the Huzur of Canara during Tipu Sultan's reign and later by the British. With it we will go for Sightseeing
at Beach, Evening Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 3: Bekal – Coorg
Morning after having breakfast leave for Coorg - On Arrival Coorg you will proceed for Lunch at Restaurant
and then check in Hotel – After refreshment you will transfer for sightseeing, Abey Falls or Abbi Falls:
Abbey Falls also called as Abbi Falls is located 1 km from the town of Madikeri. The waterfall is located
between coffee plantations with coffee bushes and spice estates with dense bushes and green trees where
the Kaveri River cascades down a rock face. Evening back to Hotel Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 04: Coorg
Morning after having breakfast Excursion Coorg, Madikeri Fort Madikeri fort was first built by Mudduraja
in the last quarter of the 17th century. He also built a palace inside the fort. It was eventually rebuilt
in granite by Tipu Sultan who named the site as Jaffarabad. In 1790, Doddavira Rajendra took control of the
fort. The palace was renovated by Lingarajendra Wodeyar II in 1812-1814. One can find two life size masonry
elephants in the north-east corner at the entrance and a church in the south-east corner. Gaddige - Raja's
Tomb: (Rajas' tombs): Gaddige or the tombs of Virarajendra and Lingarajendra at Madikeri is one of the
important monuments of Coorg. It is located in the north of Mahadevpet in Madikeri city. The royal tombs
on a hillock to the north of Madikeri provide a spectacular view of the town. Lingarajendra's tomb was
built in 1820. Gaddige Tombs There are also the tombs of a Raja's priest and that of two army commanders.
A commemorative plaque, eulogizing the bravery of General Biddanda Bopu who fought Tipu Sultan has been
recorded by Dodda Veerarajendra in an inscription. The tombs are in the style of Muhammadan edifices with
domes in the center and turrets at the angles. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 05:Coorg – Mangalore (159 Km) 3.5 Hour
Morning After having breakfast Leave for Mangalore, we will have lunch at restaurant.
And then you can visit the local bazaar. Move to the Domestic airport to catch the flight/ Railway for Mumbai.
